Back in the day I used to have these silly white kids try tell me Aesop Rock is a genius and far better than Killa Cam, Kiss, Beans and every other dope rapper who got a little shine. Soulless garbage and non-sensical offbeat ramblings.

That Cannibal Ox album was dope and Murs was dope too but all that Def Jux, Anticon garbage is the early 2000s equivalent of this Mach-Hommy, YOD, Al Divino, Ankhlejohn nonsense. Utter garbage.

Nah I get that his voice is really weird it takes a bit of getting used to. Check out the song Daylight by him if you havent heard that. Daylight IMO is one of the best rap songs ever created instantly got me hooked to Aesop. His new album that just came out and "the impossible kid" are the best entry points, theyre the most accessible. I think anyone that appreciates Mach would appreciate Aesop as well
