Billy Ka DOOM Roc all rarely perform live and are considered GOATS
Those dudes have all been around a lot lot longer and have all been performing on radio, live shows, pressing 12", selling out on the streets.
Yeah but charging $1,000 for HBO and then throwing on soundcloud? Stealing a beat and charging fans without paying due to the dude who made the beat? Throwing out 20 minute albums and charging $3,000? Hiking up the price everytime someone buys the vinyl? Like I say clever marketing but this dude isn't even good.
I get it man but in a world where 1 stream = .006 cents I would support my brother who makes music any way i could

Mach been rapping since 2004 idk what to tell you besides listen to the music. The way you’re talking it sounds as if you haven’t truly put in the listening time to critique so harshly

Yeah which kind of reinforces the idea that this music ain't for the people who are struggling. Which takes the culture, makes it exclusive to those not in the culture.
I mean Mach's already said himself he's in this for the bread. Which is fine. I respect his honesty but when music is the game I can only extend that respect to a very short point. Skyzoo is dope but this isn't a Mach vs Skyzoo thing, Skyzoo represents the many hundreds of artists who been sweating blood, sweat and tears for a long time and are as strong today as they were back then. I guarantee you that Mach-Hommy will be a forgotten name in five years time and most will look back on this phase and realise that's all it was. A gimmick can't last forever.
MF DOOM said he's only in it for the money, doesnt make you a bad Emcee or your ability to make good music. Mach has put in years of work, missed out record deals due to his injury in 2013, don't disrespect the amount of work he's put in everyone in the rap game respects Mach. Guaranteed Mach is much bigger in 5 years then he is today, I've watched through each album his following get bigger and bigger. He's motivating artists for example Ka to charge higher prices for physicals instead of relying on streaming which is great cause these underground rappers make very little money I love to see them winning in this world. He's got a Jay z feature in stash and so many great artists working with him. You're ignorant to his bars listen to his albums if you really care. You can think Skyzoo is better but Mach is a lyricist no denying that. But whatever man keep hating much love to you, this is sad at this point

I've listened to most of his records. As I say HBO was cool, the rest was so bland it was unreal.

Be real here bro nobody is forced to pay for the music at all. You’re reading far too deep into it

So why did it take like a year for the GAT and Luh Hertz to leak?
So then he's a netcee to me, it means if he just records albums and that's that he can only get props to a certain point. I give the guy props for his marketing, it's worked well for him. As an artist though all this stuff about him being 'GOAT' and 'genius' is laughable.
oh yeah when we all talk about nas vs hov we don’t talk about lyricism or flow or discographies nah we talk about how they tour what kinda stupid ass s*** is this. when we talk about rappers we talk about their music. if he weren’t smart or a genius or well read he wouldn’t be able to reference a lot of varied s*** in his raps or speak plenty of languages or be able to pull this “gimmick” off.

If you paid a lot for some music would you willingly give it out for free?

So you're saying only rich kids can hear it then?
Name em
A Partridge & A Pear Tree was a nice song, even though Fahim sucks. I listened to almost all of them, they're just not memorable. Haven't listened to the last couple when I realised he wouldn't match HBO ever again. Too much good music I'd rather hear. His Griselda era was obviously the best, albeit short lived.
So you're saying only rich kids can hear it then?
I'm saying only people who deserve to hear it -- that is, who are in touch enough to know the artist and album exist, and believe the art is worth paying for -- can truly appreciate it.

Group buys happened as well. Everyone donate a lil bit and then you get the file. People who are dedicated to wanting to hear the music will save 50 bucks to hear it. Idk why ur back with generalizing this as a rich kid thing. Its more of any person who is resourceful on the internet can hear it

I've yet to hear you mention an album by name besides HBO. Which albums have you heard? Where di you find them?

His album with Muggs is what caught my ear and got me to the rest of his discog, you might enjoy that if you haven't listened. On streaming.
Tuez-Les Tous

Oh yeah the 'art' angle. I f***s with Westside Gunn but even the art stuff with him is wack.

Music is art

Yeah but don't front like these guys don't play that angle because they know it'll sell to rich white kids. Come on. Be real about that.

what rich white kids though? literally where are they? not here, not reddit. twitter?

No one tells a painter they cant charge 100,000 for a painting they spent time working on. If that;s what you value your art at, and arent scared to have people say why is that priced so high, you may end up finding fans who'll buy your piece
I wanna say Mach treats the art like a painter (who also happens to paint). He spends time creating this piece for the collectors who value it. to each their own

I really really really doubt its rich white kids buying the albums its just hardworking people who want to see Mach winning instead of falling to the streaming grind
I've yet to hear you mention an album by name besides HBO. Which albums have you heard? Where di you find them?
Breh I have them all in my iTunes. I'm not going to list them out when I could just google them if I didn't know. I'm telling you I heard most of them. I stopped at Kill Em All. It was so wack.
