Knx used the same sample on Ron can Clief as Pres did on Day 13.
You're right. How have I never realised this before.
Very embarrassed rn

funny i made the same connexion yesterday with someone... talking about rarity making the value of an artist and how it's a tricky choice to begin with but an utterly strong foundation when it's working
Been thinking about the last lines in “NJ Ultra”. “Companions of the fire be calling out” is a reference to a part of the Quran where it says “And the companions of the Fire call out to the companions of Paradise: ‘Pour out some water upon us, or something of what God has provided for you!’ They say: ‘Indeed God has forbidden both to the unbelievers.’” What does anyone make of how that relates to the rest of the song?
“I carry all I possess” seems to be a reference to Bias of Priene, one of the Seven Sages of Greece, who was quoted as proclaiming “All that is mine I carry with me” as he left his hometown. That one’s a little easier to interpret, I guess, the title/song being a reference to Mach’s home state and Mach being someone who places great importance on cultural wealth and self-reliance.

Feel like that was the 2017/2018 feeling
Seems like some of the exclusivity of his s*** has faded

i did not study quran and can't really debate on all of the lyrical entanglement as english is not my native language, but we know that the hommy mach goes deep... and not to mention that the title of that song has to be a reference to mk-ultra, the secret research project on mind control by the cia during the 50s/60s... i don't know if that helps for the context of the track, but that's that
@Yolko where did u see the fahim drop info?

I think about this all the time great point and really does feel that way I bet. I didn’t get hip to DOOM until like 2006 or so and spent lots of time going back. I bet to some true hip hop fans Mach will be the same. His whole discog is so timeless.
You know what Fahim project I really like and have never seen anyone talk about? Tells of da Banish. Shout out GRiMM Doza.
