"The work is plenty and the credits are feeeew"

  • Kinda sick of Knx. now. Either take Mach to court (sounds like he has a good case) or move on with your life. Mach’s obviously in the wrong here not crediting him but it’s enough already.

like f*** man if mach keeps it up im worried hes just gonna end up surrounded by mostly half wack dudes, like not to disrespect fahim and droog TOO much but a album like MHL w this level of hype and a tidal exclusive should be featuring more rappers like roc marciano or some s*** and less droog imo
at least alchemist still f***s w our boy

This isn't a substantiated thought or anything and is sort of half-baked, but I think I'm starting to learn of Mach's hack-like qualities. Not saying he isn't talented, that's clearly not the case, but it's this entitled arrogance he carries with his work.

    It's the: "EXECUTIVE PRODUCER : Mach-Hommy
    PRODUCER: Mach-Hommy
ART DIRECTION AND DESIGN by Mach-Hommy."

    (Taken from H.B.O. on Soundcloud)

It gives me Off-White Virgil Abloh vibes. Ya know how Virgil has a huge design team for Off-White, but he's mostly credited as the genius behind it all? Like yeah, we get it you bring a great and unique product to the art world, but to be so pretentious about songs you didn't actually produce the tracks for is a little disingenuous. We can all agree that without production from Knx, Fahim, Earl, Craven, and most importantly August, the music he makes wouldn't even be close to what it is today. The same could be said vice versa though, Mach's delivery, lyrical content, and style is basically unmatched and can equally be stated as responsible for making the beats come to life. I'm not sure though, it's like this god complex him and WSG share, and while entertaining can be irritating.

    Quick rant lol.

Spot-on. In the second Tea and Converse interview when he said some s*** to the effect of, "I produce all the tracks I rap on," it gave me that vibe. And I know he does credit them, "beats by __" but it's still sus to be crediting the beats to himself in any way

I could be misremembering this tho

    agh this is all yikes

like Mach BEEN anti social and stubborn but this seems legit

maybe knx just being over the top - we’ve only heard one side - so idk but I believe him

I’ve been vocal about Mach’s grifting before and the disappointment of MHL brought that up again for me. I thought the project would rival P4P tbh

August def the genius that completes HBO and The GAT and makes them what they are tbh, he’s an unsung hero in the Mach story

And they aren’t cool anymore afaict so maybe that legitimates knx?

He said producing is more than just making a beat. I absolutely agree it’s wrong to not credit people for the work they’ve contributed, but if he’s doing literally every other part of completing and releasing the song, f*** it, he can call himself the producer. It’s almost more of a semantic thing, and some “producers” probably do fall into the category of “beat maker” if they’re just emailing people beats and not actually doing any recording or engineering for anyone.

I have to imagine Mach is cooler with August than Knx. if he didn’t make August take “E$L” off that Nas tribute tape.

yeah I think they're cool enough. August says they're cool but is kind of reserved about it like he's holding back subs, which he's definitely sent before

well put. nothing egregious there, just contributes to his WSG-factor a bit

hopefully lol, one of em did say wall street was gonna come out sometime this week, seems like that'd be kinda out of nowhere given how they hyped DUMP YOD up
