maaan what?? 20 years ago you would have had to walk your ass down to the record store and spend the $10 to cop the CD to even find out about a new artist that was actually backed by a label. now that you have instant access to brand new discographies straight from the hands of the artists themselves, you wanna complain about how hard it is to f***in type the right sequence of letters into google? foh. be thorough, do your homework. there's plenty of music floating around on surface level if you want to get spoon-fed.

why you giving him the time of day, nigga want us to do the work for him

    New Nack/divino album:
    https://esteenack.bandcamp.com/album/immortalkombat

$34.50 for a 10 track album under the guise of '''art'''

Mach hit a niche in the market and now everyone wants to disrespect pockets

They do. But the grift is transparent. 18-track CDs were $14-$20 max in the 90s, and the songs were longer, with more production value, and usually took 2+ years to create.

Sometimes those longer CDs were padded with like eight terrible skits, though. I dunno, they can charge what they want if they’re also gonna put it up on YouTube for people to just check out It’s also not like even divino is trying to get off Luh Hertz/GAT prices. They know their limits, haha

They can do what they want. I want them to eat, especially during this time.

I felt compelled to invoke the CD comparison, because side-by-side, it’s illuminating. Same with Mach’s prices — those albums aren’t worth a thousand plus dollars. But I admire that he pulls it off. That’s the art of business and presentation. It’s so daringly entrepreneurial, that just to have the balls to list them at those prices tricks consumers into thinking there’s a There there.

Of course I love Mach’s music, and divino & Nack have it too. Valuation’s just a crapshoot.

(it’s peculiar how modern artists have always made most of their money touring, yet this crew doesn’t do concerts; aside from potential lack of interest, why not?)

EDIT: A good counter-argument here is: but who set those CD prices? Probably labels, distributors—people removed from the music and whose priority was profit. Given how markets are so prone to anchoring—“they set item X at price Y, so now we have to hover around price Y”—who knows if an arbitrary price turned into a copycat phenomenon.

I think Ka, a MASTER by our own admissions, setting his albums at $20 — near CD price — is very reasonable.

I see your point fam. I don’t think it’s really hurting anyone tho—they’re both established artists who have a lot of their work on streaming/YT. And that was then. Just because they put out comparatively more stuff doesn’t necessarily devalue their work.

nack and divino do shows here and there. in one of the recent knxwledge interviews, he says he met first mach by chance at alchemist's studio in LA when he gave him the Spook beats, and that mach was "out there doing shows." Could be that he popped up at some Alc or Muggs events back then, but i like to think that he does invite-only shows for $1,000 a seat.

Bro chill with that. You came in here asking for links which is frowned upon and ban-worthy. You came with aggression, we kept that same energy.

On another note, I’m glad you enjoyed HBO. You literally could’ve done a single google search and listened to it in your own, that’s why we were dismissive of you

If you’re genuinely interested in Mach’s music do the research. It’s what every single one of us did as well. It comes with the territory

We just want people who actually respect Mach to listen with that lens. That’s why he makes his albums exclusive in the first place. Why so quick to throw insults? We WANT you to be a fan. We want EVERYBODY to know Mach’s name and talent. No need to cop an attitude man
