Hard to hold a debate when one side continually fails to elaborate and resolves to homophobic slurs and disparaging remarks because somebody is a fireman.

The crux of this was, that as far as writing ability goes, Ka is the undisputed. Thats not to say that Mach is lagging behind, but simply Ka's prose is better. The ones who dispute this have not really given an argument against it. Instead relied on others indicators like fanbase and monetary success, or that their easier and more enjoyable to listen to. All of which miss the point.

This thread has always seen discussion of other underground rappers. I dont think a few of pages with many of us engaged and discussing billy woods or Roc or whoever is killing the vibe. If it brings us together and forces interesting commentary then its the opposite.

I'm just trying to get you to understand where the energy is coming from. Take the "slurs" insults and dish them back where necessary.

Y'all weren't just discussing other artists. You were rating and comparing. And I can take that. You should be able to accept for instance that Tyler is ass

There's no room whatsoever for insulting Ka because he's a fireman. Its just not on. You can discuss him musically, his lyrics, beat selection, whatever. But not insulting him as someone who just rescues cats all day and slides down poles. Its not on and its way past the line. As is criticising Tyler because of his sexuality. Its not what this thread or forum represents.

I can accept that your opinion of Tyler is that he is ass. I dont agree with it and I dont think many would. Again if you would like to elaborate on this opinion feel free. But base statements do not form discussion.

Long overdue, but Navy might have made way for Fu and he’s also cool with Koncept Jackson and the Mutant Academy.

Love to hear Mach on some Siifu production as well

to clarify these 3 are in my top 10

billy woods lyrics are very poetic,as in he doesnt always follow the classic end word rhymes but more about how dense he can get
with the bars. His lyrics need to be read and require attention to most level. his flow is also very weird and isnt as lustrous as say mach.
His abstract lyrics really go along with that type of flow. his subject matter goes into criticism of race and class as institutions.
in that sense billy is the best as in he does a lot with a lot less words than any other rapper without being pretentious.also he seems to be
the most well read rapper as his rhymes are littered with reference to classic as well as contemporary writers in a way that it adds to the lyrics.
his raps can be definitely put out as poem book.

Ka to me is very poetic but in a very traditional rap type of way if that makes sense. He focuses more on the internal rhyming and structure of each line
than any other rapper here, but his delivery and flow arent anything that have any appeal to a person who isnt in it just for the rhymes.
i can see why people might call him boring for that reason. but every line he has contains internal rhyming while being a double entendre.
ka is a genius he isnt as good as billy woods in terms of imagery to me.

mach hommmicide is just the combination of mos def and profigy in the best way possible. his syhme style, cadence and delivery are very unique.
he at times seems to make no sense with his words but his flow and rhyming is just phnemominal. plus his beat selection is the best.
mach has aa lot of variety as well with emotional qualities at display. something like sous vide can be appreciated by any rap enthusiast
while billy and ka dont have that appeal i think.

all of this is to say they are unique and cant be compared as they are not in each others lane. you can compare j cole to kendrick i mean
as they have some common ground to base the judgement on but here there is very less crossover in any sense.

all three are fan of each other billy and mach have collaborated numerous times

    383 myrtle(dumpmeister)
    carnies(armand hammer - rome)
    windhoek (terror managment)

mach has KA's vinly in one of his videos and KA on twitter he is a fan of mach and billy woods.

collab with ka ,mach, quelle, earl, billy and elucid would be the anthem of every underground fan.

the one person connecting all these artist is earl sweathshirt my fav rapper. to me earl can do anything these while be extremely personal
and emotional. earl has a unique way with comparision to no others.

In That Navy Blue interview, he mentioned this new movement of underground artists (which I assume includes: Navy Blue himself, Mavi, Earl, MIKE, Medhane, Pink Siifu, Akai Solo, Ade Hakim, etc.) and it seems like such a cohesive and positive movement in the underground. Like, a movement that people might look back on and really appreciate for pushing this culture forward. I know there’s a thread on here for it, but I was just wondering if anyone here is tuned in to all these artists?

I saved like a bunch of s*** from a lot of them to listen to, but if anyone can point me in any direction to start I’d appreciate it. I’ve heard a lot of Navy Blue, and I’m familiar with Akai and Pink Siifu through Terror Management.

idk if putting ka and mach against each other is fair. at this point both basically reconstruct the genre as we know it but take so different approaches to how they do it. now lets get this straight -- mach FOR SURE can f*** with KA on the track, and vice versa. like those two are s+ tier rappers. I literally don't have anybody else plus woods touching em MAYBE earl a few years in, thats it. not even hov, not even kendrick, not even aesop, not even lupe

back to my original -- for us to see who's stronger its gotta be like 60 rounds of 16 between the two. EVEN THEN we all know ka doesn't get down like that. just like I don't expect mach to write something like Just I don't expect KA on his 'flip you like dutch traders' s***. and thats perfectly fine

believe me when I say that I am so grateful for living in the same era of these two making some of the most boundary-pushing music in the history of hip-hop. even if on the low, even if it doesn't bump in the whip, even if people behind the scenes f*** with it and noone else, even behind three figure digits. this is not very definitive as far as which ONE is the better one but I had to get it off my chest.
