pinata was not set in stone

    what are you talking about

unless you trying to rewrite history

most madlib fans were when he announced a project with a no name rapper at the time who was jeezys weedman

people were not hyped to that shyt at all

most madlib fans are only madvillainy fans and they aint trying to hear him collab with anybody not named doom

pinata was not well recieved when it was announced

and only got notoriety becuase of the avante garde collab of a trap rapper collabing with a recluse producer who makes hipster coffee shop music

    i remember

pinata is definitely a classic lol

My guyyy its not dat deep. Gibbs has cray bars and flows imo if there’s anyone touching Mach in terms of output and consistency it’s him. Obviously he’s not the greatest rapper alive but he’s got a great ear for production and if lib sees something in you.. you can’t possibly be bad. As far as classic status I think piñata comes close. If the project as a whole aint classic u gotta admit there’s some classic tracks onnat thang

You should give Goon Grizzle a fresh listen! I wasn’t as into it initially but “I’m Hood”, “New Years” and “Corey” are definitely up there for me now.

It’s on the extended discog google doc already iirc. It sounds like goon grizzle because it’s just old as f*** and he has his old flow

Yea he killed this Dilla beat. Would like him to get up with Q-Tip or Roc for production

They both sound like Ghost here lol
