“Krylon cans with false bottoms
Projects with Bentleys parked adjacent to your eyeball, fam
We all Sodom
It’s either f*** or get f***ed in this maze
The second you oppose, the minute you doze?
You bludgeoned with hate
I’m just a nigga to these crackers
I’m just another f***ing banana boat to these niggas
This is what happens”
“Death is not the greatest loss
The greatest loss is what dies while alive
Never surrender; elevate your cross
I floss the best
Fix your dentures
Never hate a boss
‘cause what’ll seem like a twinkling light may be the thing that’s defending your life”
The first part about death and what dies while alive is a quote by a (Jersey-born) journalist named Norman Cousins.
“Cousins battled in 1964 a sudden-onset case of a crippling connective tissue disease, which was also referred to as a collagen disease. Experts at Dr. Rusk's rehabilitation clinic confirmed this diagnosis and added a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. Told that he had one chance in 500 of recovery, Cousins developed his own recovery program. He took massive intravenous doses of Vitamin C and had self-induced bouts of laughter brought on by films of the television show Candid Camera, and by various comic films. His positive attitude was not new to him, however. He had always been an optimist, known for his kindness to others, and his robust love of life itself.”
“Cousins died of heart failure on November 30, 1990, in Los Angeles, having survived years longer than his doctors predicted: 10 years after his first heart attack, 26 years after his collagen illness, and 36 years after his doctors first diagnosed his heart disease.”

Legend, we studied an essay of his at my J school.
Very interesting guy. Mostly wrote in long form and his word selection was top tier. In A Place of Folly is a great read about the perceived future of nuclear technology and he got a lot of it right back in like 67
Y’all saw 1917? Saw it last night with moms s*** was raw. Whole movie is shot in what looks like 1 continuous shot, really adds to the immersion

Sam Mendes did his thing for real, I was happy that they got right into the story 5 mins into the first act. Incredible achievement but I wouldn’t consider 1917 my favorite “one shot” feature... “Victoria” and “PVC-1” always stand out to me.

The Lighthouse was superb man, can’t wait to see where the director and his brother career goes. Dafoe and Pattinson acted their asses off and didn’t get any nominations... hard liquor, atrocious weather and mermaids bro lol.

Lighthouse was fantastic. Really unique movie experience. I saw Parasite recently too and that s*** was actually brilliant. Like literally jaw-dropping a lot of the time
word is boldy james in griselda, if thats true I don't like that move by him
Word- I’m a fan of all parties and it’s odd to me. Like Boldy is great but idk why Griselda needs to add a member

I don't think either side needs each other

Absolutely obsessed with that film. So f***ing good. 10x better than parasite imo
Guess they found Mach's replacement after all.
It makes perfect sense for Boldy to have joined Griselda. Just hope he's not down with Shady.
