Balloonerism seems like it would have been a more focused project than Faces. Meaning there was so many things being said faces and Balloonerism seems to have more of a central theme. Glad he ended up going with Faces because the fact there is so much there is the main reason I like it from content to sound. so much to digest.
Balloonerism is probably a collection of some of the most out there ambitious ideas he was working on during this time. Faces is more rap based and its probably for the best he ended up going with that because I feel like faces is when it was official that mac wasn't cheesy mac anymore. he had officially passed that and people started to accept him for the artist he became. I feel like a rap focused project was needed for that to happen.
