what about jet fuel made you think he was "in the clear"? always thought the song was about him being high to get through life.

thats not me saying he was clearly not okay, jet fuel plays into the story of the album and im just not sure how that part would indicate his mental state.

I wouldn't say Swimming (in its whole) is a perfect reflection of macs state around the time he passed besides So It Goes. To me its a journey he took to where he got.

I thought he was referring to 'here' as in being around and alive even through d**** and not taking his own life or going to the point of overdosing.

to know that this one was probably one of the last songs he ever recorded/put out makes this even more bone chilling, probably still my fav mac song.
