S*** still hurts to this day man I remember hearing about it the day of. The memories when I was younger listening to Blue Slide Park, Kids, Macadelic first hearing his stuff. Sharing an earbud with an old school friend on the bus we’d each get one and just bumping s*** our parents hated lol. For sure what got me into rap and Mac 100%. Those were the days for sure but now s*** is just depressing af. Rest easy man.

wouldn't be surprised if mac had a solid collection of "part 2" songs. Would be such a Mac thing to spend a couple days to a week working on nothing but sequel songs

bit late on my watching movies appreciation post but f*** it. Although theres for sure songs that I'll skip from it If im casually running through mac songs on shuffle I'd say its still the most fun and nostalgic project of his to run all the way through. He really created a world with that project and started to truly become great in this era.

No more forced over the top delivery, No stretching words out because the bars are too short (pretty bad gimmick from the swag rap era) and more conceptual songs with more poetic/experimental abstract lyrics.

Family Lives is great

Someone Like You always gonna be a top 5 mac songs to me. Feel like thats the song he officially got in his zone to me at least. Crazy he released it under a alias originally. so blunt and to the point but still poetic and cryptic at the same time.

He was actually debating to cut it from the album for Eggs Aisle. They were both supposed to be on the project but sonically sounded too similar. Mac ended up cutting Eggs Aisle. Love both but Someone Like You deserved to be on the project.

I'll never forget hearing Objects In The Mirror for the first time that chorus coming in with the guitar was other worldly.
