I would've preferred a picture of him as a kid like the one he posted once of him blowing the candles as chubby child or something like that.
I think the idea is clear they want to remember the positivity of his personality and how pure he was as a person but still he looks like a frat boy on the cover and he was more than that in his artistry

Mac would use his humor but any kid dressed like that(without Mac's personality) it's easily destroyed.
I remember the days of seeing hip hop heads with baggys being called the R word and people being clowned for wearing a new era.
Mine was just a personal opinion based on a bias that used to exist towards people who dressed like that back in my teenage days.

As example I listened rap s*** but I used to hide it because it was something seen for stupid people and I used to dress with black Levis, black shirt and leather jacket instead of more hip hop clothes because I knew I would've been seen as a weirdo for wearing a new era or an urban jacket .

I feel like Joy Ride was the start of it since it's pretty rap oriented (almost feels like it could be a Drake song at points) and since it was clearly recorded after Good News and Circles

Here there's a rap scene but there isn't a movement or a culture at all.
