yeah im not sure why these didn't make the cut. maybe he was holding on to them for the next project but he kept naturally progressing to the point he moved past those songs.

Thats prob the most likely, and then somebody still had all the files for the songs and they prob got remastered cause they sound so crisp

Thread is kinda dry lately so I'm going full kamikaze even tho the album does not need my approval to be good overall, good to Mac or y'all.

Anyways, kinda re-evaluated TDF in a way last few days, listening to it and the leaks from that era.
Congratulations ' production is beautiful, Bilal kills it and Mac tells the story of him and Nomi from a pov that almost reaches the Wedding's one in terms of maturity.
Dang is cool as f***, Stay is a fun upbeat song to listen to with that Grammy line that makes me chuckle, Skin is sex's playlist song, Cinderella is great and personal, PGD is cool and I personally love it, Soulmate is a gem and the beat is amazing, We is f***ing beautiful, MFP is shaky because of how green Mac's singing is but Ariana murders her verse and they sound good when they sing together and to end the album there is God Is Fair which is his best collab with Kendrick.
Solid verses and a killer chorus(Would've liked a video for it IMO. The song would've became a Cult classic if they pushed it more but now it's kinda forgotten compared to Fight The Feeling which is sad)

Still think the singing was unripe and shaky but I appreciate the experiment overall even tho some lyrics that were supposed to be seductive makes me chuckle because of the way Mac's deliver those lines

But, f*** it, going from established GO:OD AM's raps and sound after working his ass off to make people do a 180 on him and his music to risking all that with TDF to start a new chapter of His career as songwriter + singer?
It takes guts and I can feel Mac's heart was definitely in it full 100 percent for this project as always was when Mac made something.
Still kinda overrated by some of y'all but it's good and it surely doesn't need my approval or anything like that but I've listened to it the last two days and the thread needs some adrenaline rush
