Lovell scrambled to find a color canister. “Well, I think we missed it,” Anders said. Lovell looked through windows three and four. “Hey, I got it right here!” he exclaimed. A weightless Anders shot to where Lovell was floating and fired his Hasselblad. “You got it?” Lovell asked. “Yep,” Anders answered. The image—our first full-color view of our planet from off of it—helped to launch the environmental movement. And, just as important, it helped human beings recognize that in a cold and punishing cosmos, we’ve got it pretty good.

The commander on the mission said the moment he saw Earth rising over the Moon he felt an overwhelming feeling of homesickness knowing everything he loved was so far away. It was the only colorful thing in space. 🥺
I wonder how people in the future will feel about Earth, those who will be born in space or on other planets. I wonder if they'll feel some type of connection to their planet of origin.

Not really religious but I’ve been going through some relationship problems and I prayed for the first time in a long time

Weird dude at the bar comes up and starts talking to me, starts talking pretty directly about my relationship issues without me telling him anything

I went to the bathroom and thought “if that was my sign it wasn’t really direct enough that could’ve been coincidence kind of generic overall. If it’s a sign I need it to be more direct”

Come back from the bathroom and dude literally says “you know angels walk among us, you probably talk to them everyday and don’t realize it”

Don’t know if I’m gonna take his advice but s*** had me shook lmao
