• "it's your home you shouldn't be forced to deal with anything" that's a similar mindset but as the "customer", the customer is basically marketed to that other business spaces are your "home", which lead to the extremism of service with a smile and the customer is always right etc. I say, regardless if it's your home, you don't have a right to disrespected to, but also don't have a right to do the disrespect (which I think the "puppeting" and "dollification" is disrespect and outdated), thus the general neutral / semi neutral baseline.

• "If they hurt your feelings so much" well if their feelings are hurt so much to work then maybe they shouldn't work that job or come to work and deal with what comes with it, is an inverse solution to that as well.

I agree like 70% of your position, but I also think it's too extreme, I think it's the exact opposite of the extreme service smile customer is always right workers are your friends robot propaganda type of culture.

The disrespect on my mind is that what they're doing is the type of thing that I know the other person wouldn't put up with, so then it becomes an "the audacity" type of thing that you think I'm the exception from you if they do it to me, I guess is the rationale or psychology behind it.

Also walking away is better said than done in the moment. Especially if you're not circulating that energy yourself, but now it's spiked to that due to someone else's insistence.

A person doesn't have to be "friendly" if there is a general bones baseline, and a person doesn't have to disrespected neither with a general bones baseline. Guess the idea is like, if everyone has a gun, then people act more respectable since everyone knows everyone has a gun (not that I agree in a literal sense tho and this flawed). Just replace gun with disrespect.

I don't have to make your bad day worst nor put more on you, and you don't make my day go to bad nor use me as a substitute for whats already going on with you. That general baseline allows everyone to be themselves, while keeping to themselves. No need for the potential of a confrontation or a lost of work. And this to me is genuine respect, let one others be and that one doesn't impede on others.

Keep your hands to yourself, and don't mind others hands.
