If that happened it would be for a lot of reasons most likely. they had untreated mental illness that I didnt prevent escalating. they were taking illegal d**** unsafely and didnt know the dose or what it was, which is a prohibition issue. if they mixed it with other things and died, ti woudl be because I didnt educate them about mixing depressants.
maybe they lost community or a job. like that question is so complex and hypothetical.but generally no, its never the d**** fault. youre assigning blame to this inanimate thing and not the decisions made around it.
But Im going to be SO on safety and harm reduction the odds of this happening to my kid would be far less than any random kid.

well I wouldnt like literally teach them how to use heroin or use it in front of them or anything
But I would explain the general idea of all d****, dont ever take something you dont know what it is, test everything, know the dose, know how much you’re supposed to take, know what you cant mix it with.
I hope by the time i have kids and theyre old enough to do this stuff, canada will be have them legalized. it would be a real weight off my shoulders concern wise.If they overdosed after me giving them that information, they wouldve overdosed without me. I probably just kept them around longer.
again god forbid, when you eventually teach your kid to have a glass of wine at supper and tell them not to drink and drive. and the either died of alcohol poisoning or drunk driving. would you blame yourself for trying to prevent it?
id hope not, because you telling them that, wouldnt have been the reason that they died.
