UncMCIf ground troops were sent to Iran and someone signed up citing they have nothing better to do how would you judge them
I have sympathy for people signing up to the military because they're broke and have no oppurtunities even though I disagree with it, probably because I have family, friends, and just people in my town that did that, and I promise u they're not kicking around the moral implications of this so I give them a bit of a pass on ignorance
But if someone is signing up to go to Iran rn just cause they're bored I'd probably think they're a little psycho

Throughout my ideological evolution I’ve always thought institutions were the solution to most things. The government is an institution, the military, banks, labor unions etc are all institutions but it seems no institution is immune from internal rot
The educational system seems the most reliable(Ivy league schools as an example) but you can’t build a functioning society off education alone that’s just a piece of itRaw thoughts
