i did as a kid i got it for chirtsmas the year the gamecube came out. i got like 2/3rds through it.

the normal speed is part of it, the mindfulness of putting on music and getting stoned and going hunting and breeding is so relaxing. put on a tv show in the bg.

the speed increases are great for doing those challenge runs that take hundreds of resets to beat though, i really wanna do one sometime.

i did a nuzlock on normal speed on my 3ds download version of blue version and won.

also did you hear theyre shutting down pokemon bank in a few months?

im legit so mad at nintendo about it theyre scum for shutting that down

having 30 years worth of games you can trade between, which is the whole point of the f***ing games and you shut down the network that does it

pure greed that partly ruins one of the greatest game series ever made

QoL features are just nice if you don't have a old school tv, cause retro games look so ass on modern displays if you're not upscaling

Also Sunburn mod for native 60 fps, annoying bug/rough edge fixes, automatic saves on Shine collection, etc

I never like to tweak a game so much that I'm not playing the original game, but I don't mind adapting it to modern hardware and patching issues the devs glossed over because they were on the time crunch of sorrow and weeping

Original hardware is a cool experience every now and then tho if you have all the necessary gear

yeah its rich ppl s*** nowadays tbh unless you already have all the gear (which i do)

such a big flex to play stuff on the real deal.

its essentially the same experience with different branding.

but sometimes you have to be vain and flex on the poors

speed up is some psycho s*** unless ur just using it to get past needlessly slow parts

upscaling is a must if ur not playing on an old tv

that is so sad. i was so adamant to my parents about keeping them because of the sentimental value and that i still use it sometimes and they always kept it!

only thing that i cant find is my gameboy advance games but i think those are just ina. different box somewhere, theres no way it was thrown out
