Obviously the run from cd-tlop is more polished and approachable but the music he has made after that is way more interesting and a level above the older stuff for me

i agree, i think like music music wise i like the earlier stuff more but post tlop artistically is much more interesting and in a lot of ways more forward thinking

Yeah the earlier stuff is more listenable and like just from a music perspective I can see the argument that it's better

But artistically I have more of an appreciation for the later stuff

im torn on brothel in belize. it is definetly the closest music has sounded to crystal castles since cc. but its almost too close. when i was new cc, i want something that captured the feeling of cc and pushed thing forward like they did, not just a copy of the sound.

but then it also is different than cc, theres no vocals really, its more chiptune and videogame sound influenced.

its on the line. but i enjoy the music a lot
