It’s impossible to crack passwords these days. You gotta dump a keylogger on them but easy to do if they trust you I guess
Social engineering and phishing is 99% of “hacks” these days. People are just idiots and will enter their password into random sites that someone texted them.

I remember when a mod in the main kanye leak server posted a zip to the official leak channel (all of that stuff is supposed to be vetted by the "staff" as safe) and s*** had a RAT virus in it and like 1500 kanye files leaked because so many people downloaded it lol

the artists all have opsec from hell
I think something like 90% of leaks all come from this one method:
social-engineer your way into a convo with somebody in the music industry / related to a particular artist (minor producer, engineer, A&R guy, label people)
sweet talk / deceive them into giving you their real email
see if that email has an associated dropbox account
crack the password or find passwords associated with that email in data dumps
download everything in the dropbox
sell each file to chuds for thousands of dollars
In reality all they did was text Kanye in the midst of a nitrous trip and tell them they’re with BestBuy Geek Squad

There was this one kid who was like 14 years old with no experience who came on the scene and immediately started trying to scam people
He got doxxed, people were calling his parents and telling them that their son was trying to scam people on illegal online marketplaces. Think someone even posted a recording of one of the calls and you could here the kid sobbing in the background
And some of these bigger sellers have a ridiculous amount of cyptocurrency but no good way to clean it so they just spend it on whatever, and a group of them started sending like 10 pizzas a day to his house for a week straight
