the advent of now-everything-has-a-camera-attached is gonna be actual hell but I've been preparing myself for this era over the years

You can 3D print, machine, or make the cups out of wood

A lot of manufacturers just buy pre-made drivers and then tune them

But the real sauce is in making your own driver from scratch. Most driver types are relatively simple, just a thin material stretched out with coils of wire and a magnet. You can definetly make that and even some of the more exotic driver types in house.

The specific pair of headphones I posted use a crazy ass ribbon driver though
