If I said "did you get that giant wart on your forehead checked out" but you never had a giant wart on your forehead in the first place, "no" still wouldn't be the correct answer, because it implicitly accepts the premise that you did indeed have a giant wart on your forehead

this all hinges on the phrasing of "seeing things", which conjures up images of schizophrenic hallucinations, as in, seeing things that aren't really there
My stuff was a visual processing oddity. I never saw anything that wasn't there. It was more like a filter you would apply to a photo. Certain things were brighter, had more visual noise or bloom, things like that.
