my undertsanding of the definition of a d*** is it has a psychoactive effect and no reasonable nutritional value.
all food affects the brain and in a way your perception and emotions. but its essential to living.
like cheese releases a lot of dopamine etc but it has nutrional value so its not techincally a d***.
obviously like any invented category that humans make, its not hard to find exceptions that blur that lines, it doesnt take a lot of intelligence to do that
