Gillig Spiceyou said pop music is soulless. sure the bland surface level s*** like ed sheeran maroon 5 imagine dragons bieber etc is soulless trash but pop is a deep genre with many subgenres and styles
I mean I don’t know if pop is really that deep a genre cuz once it starts getting deep is it really pop anymore

drop your favorite jazz albums of the 2000s then and compare them to your favorites of the 60s
jazz still amazing ofc just the volume got a lot less. im prob not well versed in 'modern' (post 70s) jazz enough to really speak much on this tho
