I didn’t deny physical activity is good for feeling better, I literally used to be a personal trainer, but offering that to someone who’s presently going through whatever they’re going through is not good and has never landed right. You offer it after the fact as more ways to maintain their present state now that they’re out of it and can learn how to use this as a coping mechanism as well. all I’m tryna tell ya’ll lmao

you don’t know what that person needs the most though. the main thing anyone going through that needs is someone there to listen and help them process. unless they say “can you help me find ways to deal with this” then offering them suggestions they didn’t ask for cause you think it will be good for them is minimizing their reality and severely lacks empathy. Why offering go for a walk might not be best
