Never in my life would I pay $300 for a cable, but they were running a sale on a special edition of this IEM that came with a luxury cable from the louis vuitton of headphone cables, and I applied another discount code on top of that and basically got the cable for free

Yes
Manufacturers will claim they affect sound but they don't
If you have an unbelievably s***ty cable, that can negatively affect the sound, but most decent IEMs (really anything above like $30) will have a perfectly good cable
Nice cables are made with pure metals, have good anti-tangle, nice aesthetics and comfort, and don't make noise in your IEMs or headphones when they rub against your shirt
