Walmart will have digital price tags in all its stores by end of 2026 they said
Yeah this is brand new stuff. NJ just banned it
Oh so they aren't really doing it yet
Yeah that would purely end up benefitting large companies
They would never make it cheaper for people if someone looks rich they will just raise the price and keep the default price the same for everyone else
s*** is wild b

Well, it’s more so like apparently they track what you buy and if it’s something you always buy, they will keep/raise the price next time you come for it. If it’s something you never buy, they will drop the price to make it more attractive to you. And then raise it next time if you do buy it
burn all flock cameras too while we're at it

I don't see this being supported by most places yeah
The things most commonly bought are essentials and it would be hard to argue for price gouging
They’ve been more or less doing this with online shopping already forever , plane tickets and stuff especially

Like obviously the companies already do price gouging
But this is too blatant of price gouging
Can't even steal anymore

Homeless chic would become quickly in style

We’re at point where the powers being are asking us what are we going to do about it
Idk how that would ever work with barcodes in person either
Unless you're in one of those weird stores that are fully automated and you don't have to scan anything
Normally the price is attached to the barcode which is the same for the entire stock of item
If you scan it at a self checkout it just registers it as the type of item
