I also wasn't there for S/T drop so I'm sure the paradigm shift went harder when you were tapped in rather than hearing it passively a bit later and evaluating it in retrospect
This was great lol I loved this when I was 15

Obviously the final cover art is great and became iconic, and this probably would have surely aged poorly but how bold would this have been
The beats on here all sound like they're from space I love it
I really dont like the sexualization of animals. I dont find it funny or cutte
@KodakSpice reading this post like:
Shoota without the second unreleased uzi verse feels so wrong
I feel u but I've heard release shoota 500 times so that's just the natural version in my head

my take of s/t when it first came out was like, this is just a fantastic, original album. that was different than stuff at the time. but not paradigm shifting.
then when die lit came out, it was like whoa.
then when wlr came out it was like, oh this guy created the new sound of the next decade
I feel u but I've heard release shoota 500 times so that's just the natural version in my head
Oh yes but it was like super dope so im mad it didnt made the cut

furries and therians?
oh yeah there's nothing inherently wrong with a mixtape, or anything that makes albums superior to mixtapes
I guess I just meant it felt like a cool collection of different s*** he was doing at the time, and Die Lit feels like a focused vision front to back
Feels lame talking about carti like that lol
True DL is more focused in its ethereal sound. Pierre was going crazy, it's almost kinda like post cloud rap lol. Funny how some online people call it cloud rap now but we were NOT calling it that in 2018

orangutan my shoota
orangutan my shoota
I got rang shooters I got tu(big)
yea? just a little something I'm workshopping
Look at this loser flying economy
Carti and Pierre
I appreciated your like on my post about this in me and bruises argument last night
I actually felt that when self-titled dropped it was super different and raw compared to everything else out at the time
Like when Carti dropped New Choppa, Yachty, his peer was dropping Teenage Emotions lol.
I think it just seems more contemporary because we've gotten used to carti dressing up like a vampire but he was already different and raw imo
no one told me how fun this latto album is . Another drake classic

it's actually kind of wild because he had clones back then lmfao
Like EVERY carti era has had clones
He was influencing waves before he had a tape out

Carti rival and peer will always be Uzi
Back when carti would give pierre a verse and a million beat placements before giving him a couple sympathy tracks on WLR (both hard) and then dropping him completely

ya true
for me, like when uzi came out, that was like wild different.
his whole vibe, his autotune, his beats. it was like pop music from the future or something.
and i got into both carti and uzi at the same time. and at the time xo tour life was #1. comparing carti to that was like, he was more hip hop hip hop. but still different and original.
so it kinda skewed my perpsective at that time, of how differeent he was. because uzi messed up my calibration lol
Carti rival and peer will always be Uzi
