I don't think all of these belong in the same category

Nintendo makes the best games and sometimes a good console, but they're super anti-consumer

PC is by far the most versatile and powerful, plus no subscriptions to play online, access to easy emulation for all Nintendo games except Switch 2 exclusives, but barrier to entry is price prohibitive.

Microsoft kills once legendary game studios, but they've been super customer friendly since the disastrous Xbox One rollout. Gamepass is a killer deal and their game streaming is pretty solid. They pushed for console crossplay when Sony wouldn't play ball. They've also been super open and generous with their IPs, Minecraft, Halo and Forza being the heavy hitters (Minecraft and Forza more than Halo these days). Microsoft is going to super hell for starting the "pay to play online" subscriptions though.

Sony has aura but their gamepass equivalent sucks and they're kinda anti consumer sometimes. Think they decided to stop porting their exclusives to PC recently. They have the sleekest console designs though.

Sword and shield weren't bad really just underwhelming

They were really polished 3ds games basically

Scarlet and Violet ran like crap but like also were good outside of that

Look I f*** with nintendo using cartridges but that's only because their hardware is two generations behind

But even Nintendo is heading down that path. Mario Kart World physicals were just download codes, and that's not even the first instance of that.
