its not about the idea that people cant own physicals anymore (although not buying physicals kinda crazy if theres an option, i buy all my switch 2 games physical if i can)

but its that theyre posturing to move more games to online only they can sunset, or force monthly subscriptions to games, increase game pass-esque services consumer base and essentially ensure the consumer will not own any of their digital media.

if that wasnt what was happening, then it woudlnt really matter.
