Good chance your right,Neptunes is his inspiration but theres a good chance he can't just be P & Chads successor.
Nothing wrong with it. I like Tyler I’m not trying to s*** on him at all. He’s a child of theirs he just won’t reach the same heights
I feel like a lot of resting on the next album but I could be creating arbitrary expectations for someone whose already quite successful in their lane

you dont like it??
can't make beats to save my life, always comes out being some horror soundtrack type s***
You have discord?

You don't think Tyler has already peaked with Flower Boy or Igor?

Yea,its absolutely ok for him not to be the next Neptunes(by himself no less)Tyler is his own thing. I think him and his fans really just wanted him to be as multi-faceted as possible while remaining true to himself.

Crazy to think its 10th anniversary is only 3 years from now

Nah I don’t think he peaked yet, he’s only improved with every single album after Wolf
Call Me is meh but I don’t think he’s running out of steam.
Next album is my litmus test

Pretty much. Much of the producer argument I’m making stems from me wishing he was able to fill that lane. You can tell he wants to since he always talks about wanting to work with pop stars and that he wrote some of his biggest songs for them originally

As much as I love Cherry Bomb, I'm not sure if I'm confident enough to call it an improvement over Wolf. It laid the blueprint for Igor but it was almost a misfire and Flower Boy felt like a refined version of Wolf, at least instrumentally. Especially the jazzier bits. His discography is all over the place and I love it but I wonder if this is as good as it gets for T
Lil Yachty-Holster is the wave he should've stayed on in the first place, now I think critics not gonna praise it like they would've if he came out like this at first lol

I never hated CB, it was a necessary album in his disco to ease us into a different sonic realm for him. Some abrasive ass mixing and stuff aside there’s some really cool moments on the album.
I don’t think it’s better than Wolf either actually I guess I meant he grows more as an artist every album even if I don’t always like it. Call me is the closest to stagnation I’ve felt so far

Hot take but
Holster > Drakes new song
