I'm pretty sure I remember him admitting that the point of what he's doing is to be able to appeal to the most people to eventually radicalize them essentially

I'm certainly no marxist scholar, but I think socialism is almost always considered the stepping stone to communism, but socialism is still a broad term because some socialists think it's gonna take 500 years to transition to communism while others think it'll take 50, some want to achieve it by reforming capitalism, others by revolution, etc. etc.
