Imma ask you guys what I asked Msct
Is backrooms the first movie to cash in on meme/internet culture?
Scary Movie
I thought the comic was good @Tuneout @Echiham my reply to et kinda also serves as a review
im in the same boat as you bruises!!
i think the political subjects were a bit jarring, but it was like each comic was a snapshot of a little story at random places in american history.
I agree with u bruises that they were unique takes on the subjects.
Love the art a bunch, the watercolours are amazing, the characters are so unbelievably well done. every characters personality was so well captured by the animal they were. masterclass in character design, layout, watercolour etc.
the hot naked furries obviously a plus, et is tripping. bro hates lola bunny too porbably.
I think it’s just great cozy noir tales, with lots of twists and turns and suprising outcomes that keep you very engaged. and the layout of the comics was so well done it felt more like watching a movie and reading a comic. which makes sense since the guys who made this were disney artists, not comic book artists originally.
loved this comic as a kid and still do!!!
happy father’s day to all dads in the thread :)

REVIEW
Ok so Ill start with the obv. I fw the artstyle heavy esp on the last story (?) that incorporated paintings n all. Much like the bear comic this was also animal centered with some of em displaying their traits which was cool. As for the stories.. the 2nd one featuring the whole KKK movement against black claws and the scandal underneath it was my fav. I still don't get what the black claw rlly did throughout the story aside from trying to clear their name? The twist towards the end was
but cool. The 3rd story was also an interesting one about the atomic bomb and communist v fascism which im assuming is trying to depict the cold war era of it all? They took a bit of interesting twist to it by claiming the guy who invented the atomic bomb worked with the nazi
Quite interesting that two stories involved nazis Tuneout... The 1st story was my least fav as it felt like it had more potential but the mystery ended up getting solved a bit too quick. I took it more as since its the 1st the whole "world" still was taking time to properly build
Overall good stuff and i might checkout some more of it eventually

56 Nights was 10 songs too
skit
