It’s his delivery in that post that really was the issue
He managed to get Anderson .Paak of all people upset
I think someone he had mixed feelings towards, a lot of respect and thankfulness and some bitterness and jealousy, had just died and he was probably confused and had trouble phrasing his feelings in the best way
Overall the post was mostly respectful. If his story is made up then it was lame but I haven't seen anyone call him a liar. People overreacted to it a lot I think.
dawg i love kim petras
@prince u fw Jeep
Not going to lie, Jeep and Cha Cha are not my faves, but both of them are still alright!
Besides these two -- everything released this era has been immaculate.

A little bit too on the nose political for my tastes, not really an enjoyable read, ngl. KKK and then Nazis/nuclear bomb. Which is fine but wasn’t really a new or interesting take on either thing. Not much character development for Blacksad either throughout these first three comics; almost seems like he’s just there as a narrator more than anything else. The art was cool at times, though something a bit furry about naked animalpeople that also wasn’t for me. I still don’t really get the owl thing. He found out the owl was Nazi but yet still wanted to help him? Blegh.
Well he tried to help the owl because he realized that he was basically just a fool that was easily taken advantage of that just so happened to be a genius scientist. He recognized that the owl was genuinely trying to atone for his actions and just couldn't manage to do it without having bad faith people take advantage of him.
I don't see an issue with the stories having a political theme. I think the stories told around the themes were pretty unique. A girl born to a black mother and a racist disguising herself as a pure white woman to marry her own biological father as a spy? Never seen it. A Nazi story turning a foolish scientist into a sympathetic character who also has ended up being taken advantage of by the Russian government? Never seen it.
Blacksad does lack character progression, but I don't find it to be a big issue. He is presented as a character that has already progressed. His behavior in the past and how different he used to be is mentioned throughout each story. His role is to slowly unravel the crazy stories happening around him.
The art was great throughout the whole thing. Very pretty colors and the characters are super expressive. It makes sense that they took so long to make all of these issues.
