I just did some reading on it after I posted that actually and it seems modern consensus is roughly 40-60% of addiction is genetic and the rest is environmental

It’s the lack of consistent regulation federally that’s the issue, it allows for lab shopping, people pick the strongest part of the plant to test (the top buds) to inflate numbers and there are so many different labs

This a big issue with edibles in particular

In Canada the process is overseen by the same regulatory body federally so these issues are less common.

Southern USA still has some of, if not the the best weed on earth though for way cheaper than we get in Canada
