not really, i think they just taking me out of an area where i was doing a lot of things im not good at and putting me in an area where i can focus on my strengths.

but yeah it kinda feels like "i couldnt cut it" in that role, but at the same time this is more aligned with what i want to be doing primarily anyways

im great at solving problems, being creative, pumping out work, etc.

not great at organizing multiple teams, managing upwards, delegating tasks, etc

this just gave you an opportunity king

perfect those areas you were one by one lacking in the previous role and make it a personal achievement

that way you’re prepared next time if the opportunity presents itself again

lowkey getting a bit venty/therapy vibes here but whatever. i think my career has always been upwards super fast, it feels like a bit of a failure to go "backwards" or not succeed at something immediately, but it is what it is i guess. probably not possible to only move up over a decade, have to have a slump somewhere.
