e tThat was pretty cool, though I think I am missing context from earlier Green Lantern stuff which ive never read. I guess he became a villain and this comic is his return. And the point is that he was possessed by a supernatural power that corrupts fear when he experienced fear for the second time in his life (first being when his father died in the plane crash). Why is Batman such an annoying b\*\*\*\*, though? Like you live in this universe where a bunch of crazy s\*\*\* happens all the time and yet you can’t believe that Green Lantern isn’t inherently evil but was possessed? I enjoyed the art a lot. The comic was a little bit harder to follow than the others we’ve done so had to re-read pages a few times but wasn’t a big issue. Good pick

It pretty much gives you the context yeah. He was the main green lantern on earth. His city was destroyed which made him snap, and he became vulnerable to being possessed by parallax who was kept in the green lanterns power source. Parallax influenced him through the power source which made him go and destroy it completely freeing him allowing him to fully take him over. He turned evil and was defeated
Later his soul was brought back because it was possessed by the Spectre the spirit of vengeance. This was done to make angry fans leave them alone mostly. He still wasn't fully back so they weren't happy.
Batman and Hal Jordan already had a completely different approach to life. They don't get along. After he basically became a universe destroying villain and then a spirit of vengeance possessed odd ball it was incredibly hard for Batman to just trust him again because he suddenly seems normal.
