Halloween ends doesn't really try to make the plot make sense

They have like an idea there that they are just kinda hinting at and then the entire film happens based around that idea that they don't really expand on

I agree but I believe it comes from him being so versatile as an artist and always wanting to change and challenge himself rather than him losing anything or being different

Like the homeless guy who is near Michael Myers when he's hiding in the sewer

in the novel they explain that he was in the same facility as Michael and ended up worshipping him because the person in charge there tortured them

In the movie they tell you quite literally nothing about him or why he was acting all weird about Michael Myers

Cory suddenly has a completely different personality after running into Michael Myers. The movie does nothing to explain this basically. In the book they explain that they have a psychic connection and that michaels evil takes him over

They kept leaving out like these little things that would have required 30 seconds of dialogue and would have made the movie seem way less stupid and random

Gnarly said the Drake we have now is so removed from the old Drake and it got me thinking about how that line is maybe like the only one we have from him where he shows that level of humility and introspection
