Jun 1·edited·1 replyOk my thoughts on the comic, issues 1-7 is still vastly in the origin of WW phase so there's a mix of curent events and backstory on how she grows up and attains her magic/weapons. Personally found it cool to see her using so many different magicks as to even transform herself completely :damn2: Idk if it's only for the absolute series where she's suddenly this badass compared to any other version of her since my image of her is just a super strength amazon who uses lasso and has those deflecting armgear. Here she actually presents herself as a princess/witch of hell
While this is cool n all ET is right that most of the monsters she faced rlly didn't pose much of a threat for her which makes it fall flat a bit tho I did like her fight with the chimera in the final issue. I also like how the art changed to bit more "realism" from 3 and onward. The supporting cast around her is still too early to make something from save for her mother so we'll have to see how that progresses
Overall a nice introduction which made me have a change of opinion on her a bit. Will prolly keep reading it unless we decide to return back to it

beasties boys cleared the samples legally and de la soul didnt
back then it was cheaper tho before certain laws changed or whatever and obviously beasties had money to clear it from previous smash hit success album
