Yeah like if people can legally get high anyway why does it matter if it's real weed or not

There are far too many old people making decisions

If you have less than half your life left I don't think you should be making impactful decisions for younger people

i think its because alcohol was grandfathered in, people have been dirnking for thousands of years in europe, so when america was set up alcohol was brought with it. and prohibition was such a massive failure.

then weed didnt catch on until relatively recently in the 60s and was a way to criminalize people who were opposed to the vietnam war. and also black and mexican people.
once that propaganda was steeped in, people in government benefitted from it so much, its since taken decades to slowly undo it

my parents are like this.
theyre 60sh and they always say its time for younger people to take over and its about what they want

when my mom retired at work, she was like im glad im retiring because it lets younger people have my position and lets them shake up everything, its not my place anymore.

I don't see why they all don't just do that. They have been in positions of power for years in a lot of cases. They have money to just to and chill out.

It can't be fun trying to keep your authority and to try to control a world you don't even fully understand anymore

not to disvalue the insight older people can have. i have a lot of respect for older people and depending on who they are take their suggestions extremely seriously.

but thats different than putting only old people in power instead of young people. also old people will always have blind spots.
