i probably couldve gone to univeristy in california and was super tempted, because my reference was a head of a department at cal arts.

but i would be paying 120k USD with interest i just couldn’t justify it.

I mostly avoided them because I had a big girl scholarship at the start

then I had my mental unraveling so I lost that, but I got a disability scholarship which helped me keep the loans to a minimum. Think I have like $6000.

to be honest the biggest reason i did a degree at art school had nothign to do with the degree.

i got grants and loans to be able to self learn another 4 years that i felt like i needed to get good enough to compete. instead of working full time, i coudl put in like 10 ro 12 hours of work a week in school and spent all my other time self learning.

like that freedom was worth it. and the degree makes it easier to get a visa to the usa or europe for work and doesnt hurt applying to jobs.

but the value had nothign to do with the content of what i learned.
