sherbrooke is also a huge street in montreal and i always thought sherbrooke was referring to that street and subway stop. i lived there for years before i learned it was a town

i did listen like 10 or so times to all those
i wasn't able to get into that much pure post-rock stuff besides Talk Talk (even tho theyre def. different). my taste might have changed more since then, and i was able to get slowly more into later period Swans even tho they arent a favorite. am a big post-metal enjoyer but feel like its more different than you might think based on the names
havent heard a Sigur Rós album before either

sigur ros is one of the most beautiful bands ever.
im not a big swans fan. i find their music is too dark, i find when post rock is dark and brooding it kills my mood.
godspeed is dark sometimes, but they contrast it so at the end you always feel great.talk talk def different. they helped invented the post rock to my knowledge
