its just kind of a part of the British strain of psychedelia

theres like a certain playfulness to it that likes to play with the music hall type stuff and Britishy language. it was kinda the form of surrealism that they were applying to their cultural background they grew up in which makes sense. If you grew up in 40s-50s UK and then take a bunch of psychedelics you're gonna see all that stuff through a trippy lens that takes it from childlike to bizarre and trippy

I mean yeah Piper is better IMO and Syd was the sauce for their early stage

but we will see how the sauce develops and they move from this to one of the greatest, highest selling, most iconic and most influential bands of all time 5 years from this point

its one of those things where Syd was a genius but Waters/Gilmour actually ended up being geniuses too and its kinda wild that they all were in the same band
