This is always an interesting discussion because even when you completely divorce it from the emotional aversion people have towards it, you still have to wrestle with striking the balance between personal autonomy and sanity
Like yes people should be able to do what they want with their lives including ending it, but also most people who want to end their lives actually are savable but their mental state prevents them from seeing or believing that

it would be a powerful experience for someone who's so depressed and wants to end it going to the suicide clinic and then pulling out last minute realizing they actually have some drive to live
