Who Has the Worst Music Taste That Nobody Calls Out

Measured by: positive mentions of artists the thread considers embarrassing vs credible artists. The gap between their music credibility reputation and actual taste is the score.

1. WESLEYS POWER
The most protected bad taste in the thread. Wesley is treated as a music authority — he runs VZ matches, opines constantly on quality, polices other people’s takes — but his actual listening history includes Logic (openly, repeatedly), Hopsin, and most damagingly: “Post Malone would beat Doja. Y’all can say otherwise till the rep gets into that B&B bag. Hit after hit.” Said with full conviction, early in the thread, no irony detected.

internet buddy clocked it unprompted at page 3418: “I think Wesley openly likes Logic and Hopsin and no one here likes Tom.” “Tom” is presumably Logic. Nobody followed up on this. Nobody held the line. Wesley continued to moderate VZ discourse unchallenged.

2. Kodak Spice
Kodak’s “Post” mentions (42 positive) dwarf her credible artist mentions. She will defend Post Malone in a thread full of people who consider that a bannable offense. But she also posts “Ed Sheeran makes me walk out of rooms — deadass” and “mfs will blast Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, Bieber etc” as if she’s above it — while her data shows she genuinely enjoys Post Malone, who is in the same conversation for this thread. The self-awareness is selective.

3. Sizzy
“Predictions for the Jack Harlow album tonight — the GOAT is back.” Posted seriously. The thread processed this and moved on. Also: “guys tomorrow it’s gonna be Mayyyy (sang in the tune of the NSync song)” — NSYNC knowledge cited naturally as a reference point. The post count for LMFAO mentions is 14 — all positive. She covers it with enough hip-hop credibility that nobody goes in.

4. MIXTAPEHNDRXXFREE
“Post Malone got hits for days — he was on a run from 2016-2019.” Said in a thread where Frank Ocean was being discussed, with the explicit comparison being that Post gets slept on like Frank. Also posted “Taylor Swift Allderdice” as a genuine mashup concept that got 3 replies, mostly confusion. He runs the VZ calendar with iron fist energy while maintaining quiet Post Malone appreciation.

5. Nort
19 positive LMFAO mentions. Not ironic LMFAO discourse — actual positive references. Also “Default” appearing twice in his listening data. Default is the Canadian post-grunge band. He covers all of this with enough Prince/Radiohead/Hendrix credibility that the thread has never formally addressed the LMFAO situation. The yassification of Nort thread arc makes more sense knowing this.

6. rvi
The most self-aware entry. “Has anyone cut a chick off because her taste in music was ass? Is this sociopathic behavior on my part? Depends how ass — if she’s an Imagine Dragons and AJR stan, for example, then it’s sociopathic not to.” rvi invoked Imagine Dragons as his bar for bad taste while having Imagine Dragons in his own positive mention data. Nobody called this out because he delivered it with enough confidence that the thread agreed and moved on.

Honorable mention: KobeToTha
“Rod Wave got some s***, idk if you really listen to him.” Said defensively in a Rod Wave vs YNW Melly thread. The defense of Rod Wave in this specific community is a bold choice delivered like it was self-evident. KobeToTha has enough genuine credibility that nobody pushes back — but the Rod Wave catalog is not something anyone else in this thread would go to bat for.
