I couldn't agree with you more. I developed this sentiment after soaking up the latest Drake record, "Her Loss".
Upon my initial encounter with this album, I must confess that my expectations were high. Yet, regrettably, they were not met. The sonic landscape presented throughout this work is indeed palatable, but ultimately unremarkable. The formulaic structure of the compositions falls short of eliciting any emotional or intellectual response of significant depth or originality.
Furthermore, the lyrical content, in my opinion, is lamentably shallow. The central theme of the album - Drake's pursuit of romantic affection - becomes tiresome and repetitive as the tracks progress. The subject matter is neither novel nor captivating, and the inclusion of uninspired guest features only serves to exacerbate the dearth of creative vision.
While the production value of "Her Loss" is of a reasonable caliber, the tracks lack the ingenuity and innovation that we have come to expect from one of hip-hop's most celebrated figures. The failure to experiment with new sounds or push boundaries renders the work unremarkable and indistinguishable from Drake's previous efforts.
In summary, while "Her Loss" presents an adequate listening experience, it fails to offer anything substantial or notable beyond the expected. I would encourage those who seek a more intellectually stimulating and musically challenging endeavor to explore alternative offerings in the genre.

That’s one thing I can agree with.
Kendrick didn’t push the promotion hard enough and focused on the tour instead. With that being said, best live show Ive ever seen. Outstanding.
