WESLEYS THEORYMost people liked it though. Maybe not on an assessable level like DAMN but it was successful in its own right. If the album wasn't liked generally, trust me it would've been known. When an artist drops a Revival or a The Big Day, you know.
I mean the same could be said for scorpion, but a lot of people on here would say it’s a misstep

Deleteddi wish he sorta locked in on one sound on that album BUT
at the same time i can recognize a certain consistency within inconsistency, and i think it fits with the way he tackled all sorts of themes/perspectives within the record
after all cohesiveness doesn’t always have to be found within how the songs literally sound

Imperfection and removing the martyr image from he the human being was the general idea behind the album.

He was looking for imperfection and he found it.

that makes the song even better to me lolAbsolutely. I thought it was flames but I'm partial to his previous work tbh. This was more of a grower on me. Kali has been killin it with R&B for close to 10 years now. If you like this song you'll love the rest of her work for sure.

Mr. Morale was the most personal Kendrick album we've received. It was the first album he made for himself and a lot of the content on the album touches on him personally and the generational trauma passed down that he's struggled to come to terms with for decades.
