Feel like the movie kind of lost its plot at the end?
Movie kicks off its second act with Maren’s father leaving her so she sets out to find her mother. She meets Lee along the way and we get the romance which was good and it was interesting learning about another eater’s upbringing. Learning her mom was an eater wasn’t too surprising but was still a nice twist and seeing the state she was in was a shock.
Then after that it felt like the main plot was resolved. Only then do we learn that Sully from before has been following her the whole time. Unless there was hints I missed it felt kinda tacked on to add more conflict
Not sure what the point of the scene with Stuhlburg was besides to introduce the idea that eating bones and all is a different high|| it didn’t really come into play again till the very end when he asks her ||to eat his bones
All in all, I liked some of the ideas presented but think it could’ve been executed better. Worth the watch for that opening scene tho. Even knowing what the movie was about it caught me off guard

i did quite enjoy the scene with the 2 guys, in my interpretation of it.. now this is only mine & i SUCK at this kinda s*** but
so the cop guy wasn’t born an eater but he was in training right? like obviously there are still cannibals out there lol
i think maybe marens dad maybe tried eating with her momma.. like he just had this morbid curiosity 2 do so like the cop, cuz there’s a flash back (i believe when she’s dreaming in the truck while dude is driving) of him throwing up blood.. & i’ve been thinking like man what the hell was the point of that? cuz it was so random & so abrupt & was never revisited again.. so that’s my theory in my mind even if it’s completely f***ing wrong
i need 2 watch it again bc i feel like there are hints that sully was following her around from the beginning & not just when he met her but i have no proof of such claims, it’s just a feeling
don’t really even know where 2 start on the ending.. like did she eat him, bones & all? was that just her hallucinating at the end cuz she was so high, cuz he’s sitting right next 2 her & he looked pretty alive 2 me
