Such a solid and catchy tune without sacrificing any substance or trying hard imo
It sounds like a top 10 hit with longevity
That and Savior were my faves

If I was Kendrick I would’ve done this for the Morale album cycle
The Heart Part 5

Die Hard
Silent Hill
Rich Spirit
Count Me Out
I will say as much as I like the album and how amazing his tour was, he dropped the ball on the album rollout.
I wonder why they made any of the moves they did for this
Can’t just be a f*** TDE thing
It sounds like a top 10 hit with longevity
It should have been we were robbed!
alien's eat food? :samoh:
Landing in Nebraska corn fields and taking farmers for supper
Recovery had better beats, and it’s his flow and lyrics too

I got wings on my ass, d***’s a cockpit, I fly by the seat of my pants”
Ehhhhh idk about Recovery having better beats. I think it just fit for the time it was in with T.I and B.o.B making pop rap people call classic today. Eminem also was in top tier rapping wise on Relapse and Recovery which helped make the songs better. I think if you put modern day Em on those beats, it’d come out a lot worse.

Kendrick thinks he's too good to push for hits
Kendrick thinks he's too good to push for hits
Had to be some sort of label or business BS behind this I don’t buy it
Like I wouldn’t call “No Love” a good beat but Lil Wayne had a great verse that opened the song perfectly and Em put his heart and soul into his verse
Things like that you don’t see today.
Had to be some sort of label or business BS behind this I don’t buy it
I think Kendrick think he's at the point where songs will naturally become hits on their own and that's just not the reality of his current situation
only person with worse beat selection than em is wayne tbh almost every wayne beat after 2008 is complete garbage, those early 2010s were awful
I think Bey would collab with Mimi if Mimi wanted her to tbh
They both have a genuine respect for each other. I could see this happening in the future. Remember she did the same for Luther back in the day. She doesn't forget those she grew up listening to
Kendrick thinks he's too good to push for hits
This cycle I think he just wanted to be more lowkey and let people have their own interpretations for the work. He didn’t even have any feats least year. While that doesn’t justify not promoting the work like he should’ve, that’s a plausible reason.
Cuz DAMN era he was inescapable. He had 2017 by the balls and last year he just kind of chilled in the back and let the work speak for itself.
@Hndrxx_Free Time for me to play Jeezy to show you what you're up against
