Yeah that makes sense
We often complain that music isn’t “fun” anymore and to a degree that can speak towards popular appeal. Even rappers I find good like Kenny mason I can’t necessarily put on around everyone
Ironically Drake is losing appeal bc he’s refuses to lean into poppiness outside of Nokia which I’m almost convinced he doesn’t understand why it took off
